Yellowstone Cutthroats
Podcast
Ninety-five percent of the streams in the Big Horn Mountains are left to the Brook Trout.  But,
there are a few watersheds which, because of barriers like waterfalls, lend themselves to
the establishment of conservation populations of native species.  The upper Paintrock region
has been identified as an area where Yellowstone Cutthroats could be reestablished, thus
keeping this species off the endangered list.  North and South Beaver Creeks and Soldier
Creek have been the site of East Yellowstone Volunteer Camp-Out projects over the last few
years.
